What does indirectly proportional means?

Indirectly proportional:-

Indirect proportional means/inverse means, when the value of one quantity  increases with respect to the decrease of the other and vice-versa. It is denoted by "$∝$".

For example:-

 Speed and time are indirectly or inversely proportional. Let $s$ be the speed and $t$ be time. It can be denoted as-

$s∝\frac{1}{t}$
