What do you mean by Nutrients?
The nutrient is a substance that provides nourishment to the body. Nutrients help in the growth and survival of organisms. The process of obtaining or providing nutrients is known as nutrition.
Food has many different components/nutrition and each component/nutrition is necessary for one function or the other.
There are seven major nutrients that are required by the body in order to maintain its proper functionality.
They are (1)Carbohydrates, (2)Proteins, (3)Vitamins (4)Fats, (5)Water, (6)Fiber and (7)Minerals (calcium, iodine, phosphorus, sodium, iron).
These nutrients are usually obtained from the food we intake.
