What do you mean by common factors?


Common factors:

Factors are the numbers we can multiply together to get another number.

When some of the factors of two or more numbers are the same, then they are called common factors.

For example:

8 and 10

• The factors of 8 are: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8

• The factors of 10 are: 1, 2, 5 and 10

So, the common factors of 8 and 10 are 1 and 2.
