What are ultrasonic and infrasonic sound waves?


Ultrasonic sound waves:  The sound waves having frequencies higher than the audible range are known as ultrasonic sound waves. In the medical field, ultrasonic sound waves are used for imaging internal organs.

Infrasonic waves: The sound waves having frequencies lower than the audible range are known as infrasonic sound waves. Elephants and whales can use and hear infrasonic sound waves.
