What are the types of fractions?

Types of Fractions :

•  Proper Fraction   A fraction where the numerator (the top number) is less than the denominator.
   Numerator < Denominator
   Example :  $\frac{1}{ 2}  , \frac{3}{ 4}$.....

•  Improper Fraction : An improper fraction is a fraction in which the numerator (top number) is greater than or equal to the denominator (bottom number).
   Numerator > Denominator
   Example : $\frac{3}{ 2} , \frac{22}{ 7}$......

•  Mixed fraction : A whole number and a fraction combined into one "mixed" number Whole number and a fraction.
  Example :   $3 \frac{1}{2}  , 5 \frac{3}{7}$
