What are the motions of the Earth?
Earth follows two motions, that is:-
1. Revolution- When Earth moves around the sun, it is said to be the revolution.
2. Rotation- When Earth moves on its own axis, it is said to be rotation.
The Earth takes 24 hours to complete a rotation with respect to the sun, and a year (365 days) to complete one revolution around the Sun.
You can observe both the movements in a spinning top.
