What are the differences between Exothermic reaction and Endothermic reaction?

The differences between Exothermic reaction and Endothermic reaction are as follows:-

Endothermic Reaction Exothermic Reaction
1. Endothermic reactions absorb energy from the surrounding that is in the form of heat. 1. In an exothermic reaction, energy is released into the surrounding of the system.
2. An example of an endothermic chemical reaction is photosynthesis. During this process, plants absorb energy from the Sun and convert it into carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. 2. An example of an exothermic reaction is the chemical reaction between sodium and chlorine, which results in the formation of sodium chloride (also known as common salt).
