What are the definitions of Conduction and Convection?

Convection:

When a fluid, such as air or a liquid, is heated and moved away from the source, the particles of the air or liquid absorbs heat. Particles of hot surface expand, become less dense, and rises. Such a type of heat transfer is called convection. This mechanism is used in cooking while using a convection oven. In a convection oven, fans circulate hot air around food thus the food cook faster than a non-conventional oven.

Conduction:

The process of transferring heat from the hotter end to the colder end of an object is known as conduction. Eg: Whenever a utensil is kept on flame it becomes hot and the heat travels from the base of the utensil to its handle.
