What are the types of wool?


Some of the different types of Wool are given below:


Cashmere Wool- Cashmere is one of the most expensive and luxurious types of wool. 


Mohair Wool- Mohair and cashmere come from goats. Mohair comes from the Angora goat. The goat has a long shaggy coat that is generally clipped twice per year, Each shearing will yield approximately 5.3 pounds of wool.


Merino Wool- Merino wool is one of the world's most common types of wool


Alpaca Wool- Alpaca has been bred by South Americans for their wool.


Camel Wool- Camel wool is insulative but it is less durable from other types of Wool.


Virgin Wool- Virgin Wool is made up of lambs first shearing


Angora Wool- Angora Wool comes from a special breed of rabbit


Vicuna Wool- It is the most expensive type of wool. Vicuna is a relative to Alpaca, but it is only found in Peru.
