The main components of Soil are composed of:-

1. Biotic Materials — living and dead things, like plants and insects, dead leaves twigs, etc.

2. Abiotic materials— nonliving factors, like minerals, water, and air. 

Hence, Soil contains air, water, and minerals as well as plant and animal matter, both living and dead.
