The advantages of using a solar cooker are as follows:
1. It saves fossil fuels like coal, kerosene, petroleum, etc, which are non-renewable.
2. It does not produce any harmful smoke and ash that pollutes the air.
3. It does not spoil the nutrients present in the food.

The disadvantages of using a solar cooker are as follows:

1. It cannot be used to cook food during night time.
2.  It wouldn't be possible to cook food if the sky is cloudy.
3. The direction of the reflector has to be changed from time to time so that it can keep facing the sun.
