What are photons?
The smallest discrete amount or the quantum of electromagnetic radiation is known as the photon. It can be said the basic unit of light. An in-vacuum its speed has been observed $2.998\times10^8\ ms^{-1}$. This particle has energy and movement but possesses no electric charge. Photon has properties of waves as well as particles both. It is denoted by "$\gamma$".
