What are miscible and immiscible liquids?


Miscible liquids are liquids that can mix well with one another to form a homogenous solution.

Example: Simple alcohols and Water.

Immiscible liquids are those liquids which do not mix to give a single phase.

Example: Oil and water-oil float on top of the water.
