What are electromagnetic waves?


Electromagnetic waves are waves that can travel through empty space, at the speed of light.

Visible light is also an electromagnetic wave.

The seven types of electromagnetic waves are radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves, visible light waves, ultraviolet waves, x-rays and gamma rays.

The electromagnetic waves are made up of electric and magnetic waves oscillating in synchronization. That is why we call them electromagnetic waves
