What are Revolution and Rotation?

Revolution- When an object or body moves around another, it is said to be the revolution.

For example, The revolution of the Earth along with other planets around the Sun.

Rotation- When an object or body moves on its own axis, it is said to be rotation.

For example, The spinning of Earth and other planets on its own axis.

The Earth takes 24 hours to complete a rotation with respect to the sun, and a year (365 days) to complete one revolution around the Sun.
