What are acid and their uses??

Acids are substances when dissolved in water dissociate completely to produce hydrogen ions(H+). They taste sour and turns blue litmus paper to red.
Eg: Hydrochloric acid, HCl and Sulphuric acid, H2SO4
Uses: Acids are used in various industries such as food and beverages industries, chemical industries, textile industries, and leather processing industries.

Such as tartaric acid is present in baking powder.
