We depend on light energy for food and fuel . Explain.

We rely on light energy or solar energy for food because we obtain our food from plants that in turn rely on the sun on their food. Like in animals, herbivores eat plants that use solar energy to make food. Omnivores and carnivores depend on the plants as well. They do eat animals though, but the animals they eat depend on plants. The producers are Green plants. Also they're called autotrophs. Solar energy produces food, wood (plants need sunlight to grow and produce food, so trees produce wood, and indirectly the sun produces wood) that is used to get fossil fuels. There are also some renewable energy sources that are not dependent on Sun being Geothermal Energy, etc.
