Using square root table, find the square roots of the following:
11.11

Given:

Given number is 11.11.

To do:

We have to find the square root of the given number using square root table.

Solution:

From the square root table, we find that,

$\sqrt{11.11}$ lies between $\sqrt{11}$ and $\sqrt{12}$ i.e., 3.317 and 3.464

Difference between $\sqrt{11}$ and $\sqrt{12}=3.464-3.317$

$=0.147$

Difference between 12 and 11 $=1$

For the difference of 1, the difference in the values of the square roots is $0.147$.

This implies,

For the difference of 0.11, the difference in the values of the square roots  $=0.147\times0.11$

$=0.01617$

Therefore,

$\sqrt{11.11}=3.317+0.0162$

$=3.3332$

Therefore, the square root of $11.11$ is 3.333.
