Use your ideas about pressure to explain why it is easier to walk on soft sand if you have flat shoes rather than shoes with sharp heels.
As we know, pressure is inversely proportional to the surface area.
When we walk on soft sand with flat shoes, then we feel less pressure as the surface area of the flat shoes is larger than that of the sharp heels. So we can walk easier.
