Two complementary angles are in the ratio of 2: 1. Find the measure of the angles.
Given :
Two complementary angles are in the ratio of 2: 1.
To do :
We have to find the measure of angles.
Solution :
Let the measure of angles be 2x and 1x.
Two angles are complementary if the sum of the angles is 90°.
So, $2x +1x = 90°$
$3x = 90°$
$x = \frac{90°}{3} = 30°$
$x = 30°$
$2x = 2(30°) = 60°$
Therefore, the measure of the two angles is 60° and 30°.
