There are 11 stations on the railway line. How many different single tickets must be printed to cater to every possible booking from any one of the 11 stations to any other?

Given :

There are 11 stations on the railway line.

To do :

We have to find how many different single tickets must be printed to cater to every possible booking from any one of the 11 stations to any other.

Solution :

There are 11 stations in the line.

From the first station, 10 different tickets can be booked to 10 different stations.

Similarly from every station, 10 different tickets can be booked to 10 different stations.

So, $11 \times 10 = 110$

Therefore, a total of 110 different single tickets must be printed.
