The work done in lifting a box on to a platform does not depend upon how fast it is lifted up. Explain your answer giving proper reasoning.
The work done in lifting a box on to a platform does not depend upon how fast it is lifted up, it depends upon the mass of the box and the height to be lifted.
as $W=mgh$
When $W\rightarrow$ Work done
$m\rightarrow$ mass of the box
$g\rightarrow$ gravitational acceleration
$h\rightarrow$ height to be lifted
Thus, it is clear from the formula that the work done to lift a box does not depend upon how fast it has been lifted.
