The width of an auditorium is w and its length is twice its width. What is its perimeter?

Given:

The width of an auditorium is w and its length is twice its width.

To do:

We have to find the perimeter.

Solution:

Length of the auditorium$=2(w)=2w$.

Perimeter of a rectangle of length l and breadth b is $2(l+b)$.

Therefore,

Perimeter of the auditorium$=2(2w+w)$

$=2(3w)$

$=6w$
The perimeter of the auditorium is $6w$.
