The sum of two integers is 27. If one of the integers is $ -312 $, find the other.

Given:

The sum of two integers is 27.

One of the integers is \( -312 \) To do:

We have to find the other integer.

Solution:

Let the other integer be $x$.

Therefore,

$x+(-312)=27$

$x-312=27$                   [Since $(+)\times(-)=(-)$]

$x=27+312$

$x=339$

The other integer is 339.
