The sum of three consecutive even number is 96 . Find the numbers

To do: Find the numbers.

Solution:

Lets take three consecutive numbers are  $x,  x + 1,  x + 2$

Sum of these numbers is 96

So,

$x  + x + 1  + x + 2  =  96$

$x + x + x + 1 + 2   =  96$

$3 x   +   3   =   96$

$3 x     =   96  -  3$

$3 x    =  93$ 

 $x     =  \frac{93}{ 3}$

$x       =  31$

So, the numbers are   31  ,  32  and  33
