LCM of the numbers  = 108

To find : 

HCF of the numbers =?   

Solution : 

We know that,

$LCM\times HCF of two numbers =  Product of the two numbers$

$108\times HCF = 972$

$HCF = \frac{972}{108}$ 

HCF = 9

Therefore, HCF of the two numbers  = 9.
