# The number a and b are co-primes, the HCF of a and b is ____.

(a) 1 (b) a ;(c) a $+$ b (d) ab

**Given: **a and b are co-prime numbers.

**To find:** Here we have to find the HCF of a and b

**Solution:**

Two numbers are said to be co-prime numbers when they have no other common factor other than one. This implies, their Highest Common Factor is one.

Now, a and b are co-prime numbers. So,

**HCF (a, b) = 1**

So, HCF of a and b is 1.
