The length of a rectangle is 80 m and the breadth is $\frac{3}{4}$ of its length. Find the area of the rectangle.

Given:

The length of a rectangle is 80 m and the breadth is $\frac{3}{4}$ of its length.

To do:

We have to find the area of the rectangle.

Solution:

Breadth of the rectangle$=\frac{3}{4}\times80\ m$

$=3\times20\ m$

$=60\ m$
Therefore,

Area of the rectangle$=length\times breadth$

$=80\ m\ \times 60\ m$

$=4800\ m^2$
The area of the rectangle is $4800\ m^2$.
