The length of a rectangle is 50 cm if the perimeter of the rectangle is 150 cm. Find the area of the rectangle.
Given:
Length of the rectangle = 50 cm
Perimeter of the rectangle = 150 cm
To find: Here we have to find the area of the rectangle.
Solution:
The perimeter of rectangle = 150 cm
2(l $+$ b) = 150 cm
50 $+$ b = $\frac{150}{2}$ cm
50 $+$ b = 75 cm
b = 75 $-$ 50 cm
b = 25 cm
So,
Area of the rectangle = l $\times$ b
Area of the rectangle = 50 $\times$ 25
Area of the rectangle = 1250 cm2
So, area of the rectangle is 1250 cm2.
