The length of a rectangle is 16 cm. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 60 cm then find the breadth of the rectangle.

Given  :

Length of Rectangle = 16 cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = 60 cm

To Find : 

The breadth of Rectangle.

Solution : 

                                     Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 [ length $+$ breadth ]

Substitute the given values in the above formula,

60 = 2 [16 $+$ breadth]

$\frac{60}{2}$ =  16 $+$ breadth

30 =  16 $+$ breadth

Rewrite, 

16 $+$ breadth = 30

Breadth = 30 $-$ 16

Breadth = 14

The breadth of the Rectangle is 14 cm.
