Given: The Length breadth and height of a room are 825cm , 675cm and 540cm
To do: Find the longest tape which can measure the three dimensions of the exactly.
Solution:
L= 825 cm , B = 675 cm and H = 450 cm. Find the longest tape measuring all three dimensions.
The length of the longest tape measuring all 3 dimensions is given by
HCF of 825, 675 and 450
825 = 3 $\times$ 5 $\times$ 5 $\times$ 11
675 = 3 $\times$ 3 $\times$ 3 $\times$ 5 $\times$ 5
450 = 2 $\times$ 3 $\times$ 3 $\times$ 5 $\times$ 5
HCF = 3 $\times$ 5 $\times$ 5 = 75
So 75 cm is the length of the longest tape.
