To find: area of the rectangle
Solution:
Let the length and breadth be 5x and 2x
.
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B) = 140 .......(Given)
So, 2(5x+2x) = 140
14x = 140
x = 10.
Thus length =5x= 50 m
breadth = 2x = 20 m.
Area of rectangle = L $ \times $ B = 50 $ \times $ 20 = 1000 Sq. m.
