Length of the rectangular field = 25 m

Breadth of the rectangular field = 10 m

To find: Here we have to find the area of the rectangular field and cost of leveling the field at Rs. 50 per square metre.

Solution:

We know that:

Area of rectangle = Length $\times$ Breadth

Area of rectangle = 25 $\times$ 10 m²  

Area of rectangle = 250 m²  

Now, given that cost of leveling the field is Rs. 50 per square metre;

Cost of leveling 1 m² = Rs. 50

Cost of leveling 250 m² = Rs. 50 $\times$ 250

Cost of leveling 250 m² = Rs. 12500

So, area of the field is 250 m² and cost of leveling is Rs. 12500.
