Given: LCM and HCF of two numbers are 180 and 6 respectively. One of the numbers is 30.

To find: Here we have to find the other number.

Solution:

Let the required number be  $=$  a

We know that:

LCM $\times$ HCF  $=$  Product of the two integers

Now, 

180 $\times$ 6  $=$  30 $\times$ a

1080  $=$  30a

a  $=\ \frac{1080}{30}$

a  $=$  36

So, the required number is 36.
