The image distance from the eye lens in the normal eye when we increase the distance of an object from the eye:(A) increases. (B) decreases.(C) remains unchanged. (D) depends on the size of the eyeball.

(C) remains unchanged.

Explanation For a normal eye, image distance is fixed which is equal to the distance of retina from the eye lens. When we increase the distance of the object from the eye, the focal length of the eye lens is changed on account of accomodating power of the eye so as to keep image distance constant. Thus,  the image distance remains the same even on increasing the distance of the object from the eye.
