The distance of the race is 22.5 km. The cyclist has completed 10 of the race. What is the distance covered by the cyclist?
Given :
The cyclist has completed 10% of the race.
The total distance of the race $= 22.5$ km
To do :
We have to find the distance covered by the cyclist.
Solution :
The distance covered by the cyclist $=$ 10% of 22.5 km
$= \frac{10}{100} \times 22.5$ km
$= 2.25$ km.
Therefore, the distance covered by the cyclist is 2.25 km.
