The distance of a Galaxy from the Earth is $5.6 \times 10^{25}$m Assuming the speed of light to be $3 \times 10^8$ m/s, find the time taken by the light travel the distance.
Given: Distance of a Galaxy is $5.6 \times 10^{25}$m. Speed of light is $3 \times 10^8$ m/s
To find: We have to find the time taken by light to travel the given distance.
Solution:
We know that
Time taken = $\frac{Distance}{Speed}$
Time taken $=\frac{5.6 \times 10^{25}}{3 \times 10^{8}}$
=> $Time taken =1.8 \times 10^{17}$ s
