Given: The distance between the school and a student's house is $1km\ 875m$. Everyday she walks both ways.

To do: To find the total distance covered by her in six days.

Solution:

Distance between the school and student's house$=1\ km\ 875\ m$

$=1000\ m+875\ m=1875\ m$           [$\because 1\ km=1000\ m$]

$\because$ The student walks both ways, Then

Distance covered by the student in a day$=2\times 1875=3750\ m$

Therefore, distance covered by the student in six days

$=6\times 3750=22500\ m=\frac{22500}{1000}\ km=22km\ 500\ m$

Thus, the distance covered by the student in six days is $22km\ 500\ m$.
