The diagonals of rhombus are $20\ cm$ and $48\ cm$ respectively, then find the side of the rhombus.

Given: The diagonals of rhombus are $20\ cm$ and $48\ cm$ respectively

To do: To find the side of the rhombus.

Solution:

As given diagonals of rhombus are $20\ cm$ and $48\ cm$.

Semi diagonals are $\frac{20}{2}=10\ cm$ and $\frac{48}{2}=24\ cm$

Side of rhombus is as hypotenuse of semi diagonals i.e.,

$Side^2=10^2+24^2$                      [Using pythagoras theorem]

$\Rightarrow side=\sqrt{100+576}$
$=\sqrt{676}$
$=26\ cm$
