The cost of a TV set at a showroom was Rs 36500. The sales tax charged was 8%. Find the bill amount.

Given: Cost of TV set = Rs 36500. Sales tax = 8% of Rs 36500

To find: Bill amount

Solution:

S ales tax charged= 8% of 36500

= $\frac{8}{100} \times 36500$

=Rs. 2920

Bill amount= Cost of tv + Sales tax charged

=36500+2920

=Rs. 39420/
