The biggest source of energy on Earth’s surface is(A) Biomass (B) Solar radiations(C) Tides (D) Winds
(B) Solar radiations
Explanation
Sun (solar radiation) is the biggest source of energy on Earth’s surface, as the average annual solar radiation on the earth's surface is roughly $1361W/m^2$.
It is also known as the ultimate source of energy on Earth’s surface because we know that green plants use sunlight for photosynthesis, which is the process by which they make food for their growth. When the plants are eaten by the animals, they consume food made with the help of sunlight. When these plants and animals die, their remains, which consist of material directly or indirectly made with the help of sunlight, are get buried in the earth and converted into fossil fuels, such as coal and petroleum.
The energy that we store in batteries with the help of solar panels is also due to the sun. It also regulates the weather condition and the water cycle.
