The area of rectangle is 120 metre square and its breadth is 8 metre. Find the length of the rectangle and perimeter of the rectangle.
Given:
Area of the rectangle = 120 m
Breadth of the rectangle = 8 m
To find: Here we have to find the length of the rectangle and perimeter of the rectangle.
Solution:
We know that:
Area of rectangle = Length $\times$ Breadth
Also, given that;
Area of the rectangle = 120 m2
So,
Length $\times$ Breadth = 120 m2
Length $\times$ 8 m = 120 m2
Length $\times$ 8 m = 120 m2
Length = $\frac{120}{8}$ m
Length = 15 m
Now,
Perimeter = 2(Length $+$ Breadth)
Perimeter = 2(15 $+$ 8)
Perimeter = 2(23)
Perimeter = 46 m
So, length of the rectangle is 15 m and Perimeter is 46 m.
