Marks secured in Science in the 2nd term $= 85$
Marks secured in S.Science in the 1st term $= 73$
Marks secured in S.Science in the 2nd term $= 75$

We have to find,
(i) In which subject, has the child improved his performance the most?
(ii) In which subject is the improvement the least?
(iii) Has the performance gone down in any subject?
Solution :
% change in marks in English $= \frac{(70-67)}{67} \times 100% =\frac{3}{67} \times100%=4.47$%
% change in marks in Hindi $= \frac{(72-65)}{72} \times 100% = \frac{7}{72} \times 100% = 9.72$%
% change in marks in Maths $= \frac{(95-88)}{88} \times 100% = \frac{7}{88} \times 100% = 7.95$%
% change in marks in Science $= \frac{(85-81)}{81}\times100%= \frac{4}{81} \times 100% = 4.94$%
% change in marks in S.Science $= \frac{(75-73)}{73} \times 100% = \frac{2}{73}\times100% = 2.74$%
