State which of the following is greater:$(7-8)\times 9$ or $7-(8\times9)$
Given :
The given expressions are $(7-8)\times 9$ or $7-(8\times9)$ .
To do :
We have to express which of the given expressions is greater.
Solution :
$(7-8)\times 9$
$(7-8)\times 9 = -1\times 9 = -9$
$7-(8\times9) = 7 - 72 = -65$
Therefore,$(7-8)\times 9$ is greater.
