Solve the following:$\frac{5}{14} - \frac{5}{21}$

Given:

The given expression is $\frac{5}{14} - \frac{5}{21}$

To do :

We have to solve and find the value of the given expression.

Solution :

LCM of 14 and 21 is,

$14 = 2\times7$

$21 = 3\times7$

LCM of 14 and 21 $= 2\times3\times7 = 42$

Therefore,

$\frac{5}{14} - \frac{5}{21} = \frac{(5\times3-5\times2)}{42}$

                      $= \frac{(15-10)}{42}$

                      $=\frac{5}{42}$.

Therefore, the value of $\frac{5}{14} - \frac{5}{21}$ is $\frac{5}{42}$.
