Solve the following:$\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{9}$.

Given :

The given expression is $\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{9}$.

To do :

We have to simplify the given expression.

Solution :

$\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{9}$

$\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{9}= \frac{1 \times 3}{3 \times 3}-\frac{1 \times 1}{9 \times 1}$

                                  $= \frac{3}{9}-\frac{1}{9}$

                                $=\frac{3-1}{9}$

                                $= \frac{2}{9}$

Therefore, the value of $\frac{1}{3}-\frac{1}{9}$ is $\frac{2}{9}$.
