Solve the following :  $\frac{5}{8} + \frac{3}{4} - \frac{7}{2} $.

Given :

The given Expression is, $\frac{5}{8} + \frac{3}{4} - \frac{7}{2} $

To find :

We have to solve and find the value of given expression.

Solution :

$\frac{5}{8} + \frac{3}{4} - \frac{7}{2} $

Denominators are different, Make them equal.

LCM of 8 , 4 , 2  is 8.

$\frac{5}{8} $

$= \frac{5\times1}{8\times1} =\frac{5}{8} $

$ \frac{3}{4}$

$=\frac{3\times2}{4\times2} =\frac{6}{8} $

$\frac{7}{2} $

$=\frac{7\times4}{2\times4} =\frac{28}{8} $

$\frac{5}{8} + \frac{6}{8} - \frac{28}{8}  = \frac{5+6-28}{8}$

$= \frac{11-28}{8}$

$=\frac{-17}{8}$

$\frac{5}{8} + \frac{3}{4} - \frac{7}{2}  = \frac{-17}{8}$

The value of $\frac{5}{8} + \frac{3}{4} - \frac{7}{2} $ is $\frac{-17}{8}$.
