Solve the following equation:$2x+ \frac{5}{7}=\frac{9}{14}$.

Given :

The given expression is $2x+ \frac{5}{7}=\frac{9}{14}$.

To do :

We have to find the value of x.

Solution :

$2x+ \frac{5}{7}=\frac{9}{14}$

$2x = \frac{9}{14} - \frac{5}{7}$

$2x = \frac{9}{14} - \frac{5 \times 2}{7 \times 2}$

$2x = \frac{9-10}{14}$

$2x = \frac{-1}{14}$

$x = \frac{-1}{28}$

The value of x is $-\frac{1}{28}$.
