Solve the following

$\frac{7 y+4}{y+2}=\frac{-4}{3} $

Given:
$\frac{7 y+4}{y+2}=\frac{-4}{3} $

To do: FInd the value of $x$

Solution:

$\frac{7 y+4}{y+2}=\frac{-4}{3} $

By cross multiplication:

=>$3(7y+4) =-4(y+2)$

=>$21y+12=-4y-8$

=> $21y+4y=-12-8$

=>$25y=-20$

=>$y=\frac{-20}{25}$

=>$y=\frac{-4}{5}$

Therefore the valu eof $y$ is $\frac{-4}{5}$
