Solve the expression
$2(5x-3)-3(2x-1)=9$

Given:

$2(5x-3) - 3(2x-1) = 9$

To do: Solve the expression

Solution:

Multiply 2 and 3 inside the brackets,

$10x - 6 - 6x + 3  =  9$

rewrite,

$10x - 6x - 6 + 3  =  9$      (subtract variables and numbers respectively)

$4x - 3  =  9$

$4x  =  9 + 3$

                   (keep variable on one side and numbers on the other side)

$4x  =  12$

$ x   =  \frac{12}{ 4 }$

$ x   =   3$
